500g beef mince
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
½ cup dried breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 small brown onion
Directions to Cook:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly (clean hands are the best way to do this). Divide mixture into 6 portions and shape into patties. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Shallow fry both sides over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until browned and cooked through. Drain on paper towel.
To serve, assemble cooked patties onto burger buns with your choice of salads, cheese, cooked bacon or onions, pineapple, fried egg and sauces.
Note: Refrigerating patties for 30 minutes before cooking will prevent them breaking apart during cooking.
Add grated zucchini and carrot (1 small of each). Squeeze out all excess moisture.
Gluten Free Variation:
Substitute breadcrumbs with *Casalere or *Orgran gluten-free rice crumbs.
